DG Bills Message- TS Melissa
Fellow Rotarians I write to you in this difficult time when we are about to be severely tested by the natural elements.
Jamaicans and in particular Jamaican Rotarians have an indomitable spirit, one of resilience and endurance, qualities that will be called upon and tested in the next few days, weeks and months.
I am 100 percent confident that we will boldly and prudently face this challenge through our preparations and in the aftermath in doing what Rotary is known for- rebuilding during relief and recovery efforts.
I wish I was there with you and my family but I am not. I will be praying that God spares Jamaica even at this eleventh hour and if that is not the case I pray that He will strengthen us- give us the fortitude to face the challenge and to keep us safe.
The Jamaican Doctor bird which you all proudly wear is a symbol of endurance, resilience, and transformation. Remember these qualities we possess in the days and weeks ahead and look out for each other as we are our brothers’ keeper. May God Bless you all and keep you safe in the days, weeks, and months to come!
